Dr. Lauren Baras, MD

Compassionate & Expert Psychiatric Care for Washington Families

Hi! I'm Dr. Lauren Baras, and I believe every child and adolescent deserves to feel understood, supported, and hopeful. As a board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, I specialize in providing thoughtful diagnostic evaluations and individualized treatment plans that integrate the latest medical evidence with a deep respect for each individual's unique strengths and challenges.

I received my medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. My postgraduate training included an Internal Medicine Internship at the Medical University of South Carolina, followed by a Psychiatry Residency, and then a specialized Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, all completed at the Medical University of South Carolina.

After completing my fellowship in 2018, I moved to Washington State to work at The Everett Clinic. Over my seven years at The Everett Clinic, I've had the privilege of serving patients and families, from Seattle all the way to Camano Island and Granite Falls. I have been grateful to be a member of this diverse and exciting community as a doctor, a parent, and a friend.

My approach is rooted in creating a collaborative partnership with children, adolescents and their families, while respecting confidentiality and developmentally-appropriate autonomy.  I value connection and naturally bring humor, warmth and play to my time with patients; while respecting the very serious work I am privileged to do. I’m proud to have been recognized by my peers and the community, having been named a Top Doctor by Seattle Met Magazine for six consecutive years (2020-2025) and a Top Doctor by Seattle Magazine in 2024.
